Like the rest of the world, we watched as Hurricane Harvey decimated the Houston area, dropping more that two feet of rain and displacing tens of thousands of people. As floodwaters have continued to rise, charitable organizations are stepping in to offer some much-needed assistance. Interested in how you can help? For general relief, check out The Greater Houston Community Foundation. This organization connects donors with a large network of nonprofits, and was established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. Other organizations have stepped up to help specialized groups and include the AARP Foundation, Save the Children, the SPCA of Texas, and American Humane.
